Upaccess.co.uk is a new department of Maden Design and Build which as a construction company has been running since 1997.
The company was started by brothers Simon and Andrew Maden in September 1997 converting two cottages in Swinton into a holiday cottage. The early years were spent building extensions, loft conversions and then moving on to new house builds and helping selfbuilders with design, planning and building warrants as well as building work. The company now runs with a full design department including building surveying, architects and technicians who are able to cater to the individual needs of the client. Our emphasis now is on low energy building and designing properties that can virtually run themselves. The staff include joiners, electricians, bricklayers, roofers, plasterers and groundworkers and the work load consists of extensions, new builds, conversions, commercial work and a full renewable energy division installing domestic solar, commercial solar and wind generators as well as biomass boilers.
The future of Maden Design & Build Ltd is in the low carbon economy and we are this year developing a renewable energy centre on the ramparts industrial estate in Berwick-upon-Tweed to move the business to.
